1. How to enable parking surveillance function?
The parking surveillance function is disabled by default. You can enabled it during the beginner’s guide.
You can also enable it in the dash cam settings: Press the function button below the icon to enter Settings, select Video Settings > Parking surveillance. Selecting either high sensitivity or low sensitivity enables the function.
2. What’s the function of parking surveillance?
A 70mai Hardware Kit is required when using the parking surveillance function.
After the parking surveillance function is enabled, when the dash cam is power off, it will enter the parking surveillance mode. When the vehicle encounters a collision in parking, the dash cam will automatically record a parking surveillance video.
Some vehicles still power the cigarette lighter in parking. In such cases, the dash cam will only enter parking surveillance mode when the auto-off time is configured in the dash cam settings.
3. How to view parking surveillance videos?
You can view the parking surveillance videos in the album. Parking surveillance videos are stored in the Parking Video directory.
You can also view the parking surveillance videos in the 70mai app (after connecting to the dash cam with the 70mai app) in the Parking video directory.
4. Why the device doesn’t enter parking surveillance mode after power-off?
In the following cases, the parking surveillance function does not work:
- If the device is turned off without external power supply and the built-in battery is low, the device cannot enter the parking surveillance mode.
- If the device enters the parking surveillance mode without external power supply for a long time, it will keep consuming the power of the built-in battery. If the built-in battery power is too low or depleted, the device will be unable to record surveillance videos.
- If the device enters the parking surveillance mode without external power supply, and the temperature inside the vehicle is lower than -10°C or higher than 60°C, the built-in battery cannot discharge electricity, and the device will be unable to record surveillance videos when the vehicle encounters a collision.
