1. How to start recording videos?
When the dash cam turns on, it automatically starts recording standard videos and no manual operation is needed.
During the normal recording, the indicator stays on green.
Note: When the dash cam is turned on the first time or when it is restored to factory settings, it needs to be activated by connecting to the 70mai app. After that, it can be used normally.
2. Can I pause the recording?
The dash cam is a road safety record tool and it will as much as possibly record driving videos in order to maximize the protection of the rights of car owners. Therefore, dash cam does not support manually pause recording.
3. Why the dash cam stops recording?
The dash cam will automatically stop recording in the following situations:
- Formatting the internal memory card
- Restoring factory settings
- Updating firmware
- Any operation on the album when connected to the 70mai app
- Detecting abnormity in the internal memory card, for instance, non-dash cam related files are detected. In this case, please format the internal memory card according to the voice prompts.
The dash cam will automatically start recording when exiting the above operations.
4. Why the recorded videos are not clear?
To make sure that the preview screen and the replayed video are fluent when you watch them, the dash cam applies a default low resolution. This default solution won’t affect the video recording resolution. When you download the videos to your phone or computer, you will watch them with the original quality and recording resolution.
However, if you are not satisfied with the original quality, you can change the video recording resolution in the dash cam settings.
5. Can I record videos with sound?
The device records soundlessly by default. If you would like to record videos with sound, you can do one of the following:
- Speak out the voice command Record audio.
- When the dash cam is connected to the app, enable sound recording in dash cam settings.
6. Can I change the video length?
By default, the length of one standard video is 1 minute. But if you would like to record a longer video, you can change the video during in dash cam settings.
Note: The duration fo the emergency video and parking surveillance video couldn’t be set manually.
7. The recorded video image is blurry.
If there are smudges on the dash cam’s camera or on the windshield where the dash cam is installed, the recorded video image may be blurry.
In this case, do the followings:
- Check if there are smudges or finger prints on the dash cam’s camera.
- Check if the protective film on the dash cam’s camera is removed.
- Check if there are smudges on the windshield where the dash cam is installed. Clean the windshield with a clean cloth.
