1. How to add the dash cam on the 70mai app?
Before binding the dash cam, make sure you’ve installed the latest 70mai app.
(1). Turn on the dash cam and make sure the dash cam Wi-Fi is enabled.
(2). Open the 70mai app and tap Add device. Wait for the bluetooth scanning result and then select the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name. Or you can tap the dash cam category and find the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name.
(3). In your phone’s WLAN list, find the dash cam’s hotspot name and then input the password. Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the authorization. And then the dash cam homepage will display.
2. How to check the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name and password?
Press the function below the “” icon to enter settings, select System settings > Wi-Fi hotspot. The hotspot name and password will display on the dash cam screen.
When the dash cam is turned off and then turned on, the Wi-Fi password will reset. In case you need to reconnect the dash cam to the app, check the new password following the above step.
3. Can’t find the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot list?
If you cannot see the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot name in your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot list, do the followings:
(1) Make sure the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot is on.
(2) Turn off the wireless LAN (or WLAN) and then on again on your phone’s system settings.
After doing the above, if you still cannot find the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot, please contact customer service.
4. Why does the phone display “Security verification fail” during the connection?
Security verification fails because the connection authorization of the phone is refused. Please follow the onscreen instructions on the app to initiate the authorization again.
5. When using iPhones to connect the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot, why “Cannot join the network” prompts when inputting the password?
If you enter the wrong password when connecting the hotspot and try to input the password again in a short time, iPhone may recognize your operation as illegal. So that a pop-up dialog box “Cannot join the network xxxx (xxxx is Wi-Fi hot spot name) ” displays on the screen.
In this case, please exit the password input interface, back to the Wi-Fi hotspot list, select the dash cam’s hotspot and then re-connect.
If the above operation still cannot make a successful connection, please forget the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s WLAN list then re-connect.
