Normal recording

When the dash cam turns on, it automatically starts recording standard videos and no manual operation is needed.
Dash cam is a road safety record tool and it needs as much as possibly to record driving videos to maximize the protection of the car owners. Therefore, dash cam does not support manually pause recording.
Note: When dash cam is turned on for the first time or reset to factory settings, it needs to be activated by connecting to the 70mai app. After that, it can be used normally.

Abnormal recording cases

Dash cam will automatically stop recording in the following situations:

  • Any operation in album on the dash cam homepage
  • Formatting the internal memory
  • Restoring factory settings
  • Updating firmware
  • Detecting abnormality in the internal memory, for instance, non-dash cam related files are detected. In this case, please format the internal memory.

Dash cam will automatically start recording when exiting the above operations.

Changing video duration

  1. Open the 70mai app, tap the icon  on the dash cam card and tap Dash cam settings.
  2. Tap Video clip duration and then select desired option.

Note: The duration of other video types couldn’t be set manually.

Turning on sound recording

Dash cam records soundlessly by default. Try the following ways to record sound:

  • Speak out the voice command “Record audio“.
  • Open the 70mai app, tap the icon  on the dash cam card and tap Dash cam settings. And then enable Record sound.
