The eMMC (Embedded Multi Media Card) is built in the dash cam for storage. You can find the memory capacity information on the label of the dash cam and product box.

Video storage mechanism

All types of videos use loop recording. This means that when the storage space for a given type of video has been used up and a new video of the same type is recorded, the oldest video will be automatically deleted and replaced by the new one.

To ensure that important videos are not erased, you should therefore immediately export them to your phone, computer, or another device.

Total video duration

The total recorded video duration is affected by many factors, such as the eMMC capacity, video settings, and road condition.

You can prolong the video duration by the following ways:

  • Select a larger EMMC capacity.
  • Disable some functions, such as HDR and audio recording, and select the low compression ratio.
  • Too many emergency videos will take up the storage space of the memory card. A low collision sensitivity will reduce the triggering of emergency video recording. Or you can backup and then delete emergency videos from the dash cam to release more storage space.
