Default position of the tripod head once it starts

Tripod head automatically turns to the default position and starts recording once the dash cam is turned on. And it will, if without manual adjustment, maintain in this position during the driving.

Adjust the default position in dash cam settings:

  1. Open the 70mai app, tap the icon  on the dash cam card and tap Dash cam settings.
  2. Connect dash cam’s Wi-Fi and tap Default position of the tripod head once it starts.
  3. In the adjustment page, tap the leftwards or rightwards arrow on the lever and the tripod head will turn accordingly. When the adjustment is done, tap Save.

Do not turn the tripod head manually as this may cause damage to the dash cam.


Tripod head calibration

When tripod head is accidentally touched, try the followings to calibrate it.

  • In the 70mai app, tap Connect to dash cam to enter the dash cam homepage and tap icon.
  • Turn off the dash cam and then turn it on. The tripod head will automatically calibrate.
  • The tripod head will automatically calibrate when entering the parking guardian mode. Note that the parking surveillance cable should be installed and the parking guardian function should be enabled.
  • Calibrate the tripod head on the remote control page when 4G module is installed.

Parking guard position of the tripod head

Set the parking guard position of the tripod head, making it face towards the direction that threats are most likely to come in parking guardian mode.

  1. Open the 70mai app, tap the icon  on the dash cam card and tap Dash cam settings.
  2. Connect dash cam’s Wi-Fi and tap Parking guard position of the tripod head.
  3. In the adjustment page, tap the leftwards or rightwards arrow on the lever and the tripod head will turn accordingly. When the adjustment is done, tap Save.
