Turning on dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot
Try any of the methods below:
- Press the function button below the icon
to enter Settings, select System settings > Wi-Fi hotspot and turn it on. The Wi-Fi hotspot name and the password will be displayed on the screen.
- Follow the above steps to enter Settings, select System settings > Power-on Wi-Fi setting and enable it so that the Wi-Fi automatically turns on with the dash cam.
- When dash cam is bound with the app, you can also enable power-on Wi-Fi setting in Dash cam settings > Wi-Fi hotspot settings in the app.
Adding dash cam on the 70mai app
Before binding, make sure you’ve installed the latest version of the 70mai app and your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.
- Turn on the dash cam.
- Open the 70mai app and log in your 70mai account. In the Device page, tap icon
.
- Wait for the Bluetooth scanning result and then select the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name. Or tap the correct dash cam image and then find dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name in the searched result list.
- Complete the authorization following the voice prompts. When successfully added, the dash cam card displays on the app homepage.
Connecting dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot
- Open the app and tap Connect to dash cam on the dash cam card.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to connect dash cam Wi-Fi. In your phone’s WLAN list, find the dash cam’s hotspot name and then input the password.
- When connected, go back to the 70mai app. Follow the instructions to complete the beginner’s guide. And then the dash cam homepage will display.
If you couldn’t connect the dash cam Wi-Fi, check the followings:
- Make sure you’ve entered the correct password.
- Make sure you’ve completed the authorization following the voice prompt.
- If the above operation still cannot make a successful connection, please forget the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s WLAN list then re-connect.
Unbinding the device
Open the app, tap the icon on the dash cam card and select Unbind device.
