Normal recording
After inserted with the a qualified microSD card, dash cam automatically starts recording video when it turns on.
Dash cam is a road safety record tool and it needs as much as possibly to record driving videos to maximize the protection of the car owner. Therefore, dash cam does not support manually pause recording.
Abnormal recording cases
Dash cam will automatically stop recording in the following situations:
- When album (whether in the dash cam or the app) is accessed
- Formatting the memory card
- When the rating speed of the memory card is below U3 (UHS-3) and the writing speed decreases in recording, the recording will pause (in this case, replace with a higher-level memory card).
- Restoring factory settings
- Updating firmware
Dash cam will automatically start recording when exiting the above operations.
Changing video duration
Try any of the followings to change video duration of the standard video (front and backup camera video):
- Press the function button below the icon
to enter the Settings, select Video settings > Recording duration and select desired option.
- Open the 70mai app, tap the icon
on the dash cam card and tap Dash cam settings > Video clip duration and then select desired option.
Turning on sound recording
Dash cam records soundlessly by default. Try any of the followings to record sound:
- Press the function button below the icon
to enable sound recording. If the backup/rear camera is installed, this function button couldn’t enable sound recording and please try method 2.
- Press the function button below the icon
to enter the Settings, select Sound settings > Audio recording and enable this function.
- Open the 70mai app, tap the icon
on the dash cam card and tap Dash cam settings. And then enable Record audio.
