Dash cam supports standard microSD card. Please use a high-quality memory card purchased from a reputable vendor with required capacity and rating speed. Some microSD cards with other capacities and lower levels may also be used, but we do not guarantee the effective recording. Low-level SD cards may cause slow writing and video recording errors.

Video storage mechanism

All types of videos use loop recording. This means that when the storage space for a given type of video has been used up and a new video of the same type is recorded, the oldest video will be automatically deleted and replaced by the new one.

To ensure that important videos are not erased, you should therefore immediately export them to your phone, computer, or another device.

Total video duration

The total recorded video duration is affected by many factors, such as the capacity of the memory card, video settings, and road condition.

You can prolong the video duration by the following ways:

  • Select a memory card with a larger capacity.
  • Too many emergency videos will take up the storage space of the memory card. A low collision sensitivity will reduce the triggering of emergency video recording. Or you can backup and then delete emergency videos from the dash cam to release more storage space.

Tips for using memory card

  • Do not insert or remove the microSD card while the dash cam is on. Doing so may cause damage to the device and the microSD card.
  • Please format the microSD card when it is used for the first time in the dash cam. Formatting the microSD card in other devices may cause the microSD card to malfunction.
  • After a microSD card is used for a long time, it may be damaged or worn out. In this case, please replace with a new microSD card.
