Normal recording

When the dash cam is turned on and inserted with a qualified microSD card, it will start recording automatically. In the normal recording status, the icon displays with a red dot flashing on the left. And the indicator keeps green.

A qualified microSD card requires the capacity ranging from 32GB to 128GB and a rating of U1, Class10 or higher.

If the external camera is installed, the front and external cameras record simultaneously.

Dash cam will stop recording in the following situations:

  • When album (whether in the dash cam or the app) is accessed
  • Formatting the memory card
  • When the memory card is removed
  • When memory card is damaged or the writing speed is too low
  • Restoring factory settings
  • Updating firmware

Dash cam will automatically start recording when exiting the above operations.

Changing video duration

Try the following to change video duration of the standard video:

  • Press the function button below the icon to enter the Settings, select Video settings > Recording duration and select desired option.
  • Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Video clip duration and select desired option.

Turning on sound recording

Dash cam records soundlessly by default. Try any of the followings to record sound:

  • Press the function button below the icon to enable sound recording.
  • If the external camera is installed, press the function button below the icon to enter Settings, select Sound settings > Audio recording and enable this function.
  • Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Record audio and enable this function.

Setting up external camera

When the external camera is installed, you can set up the rotation and mirror image for the external camera.

  1. Press the function button below the icon to enter the Settings, select Video settings;
  2. Enable Extended CAM image and the image captured by the external camera will be mirrored.
  3. Enable Extended Cam rotation and the image captured by the external camera will turn upside down.
