Normal recording
When the dash cam is turned on and inserted with a qualified microSD card, it will start recording automatically. In the normal recording status, the icon displays with a red dot flashing on the left. If the external camera is installed, the front and external cameras record simultaneously.
A qualified microSD card requires the capacity ranging from 32GB to 128GB and a rating of U1, Class10 or higher.
Dash cam will stop recording in the following situations:
- When album (whether in the dash cam or the app) is accessed
- Formatting the memory card
- When the memory card is removed
- When memory card is damaged or the writing speed is too low
- Restoring factory settings
- Updating firmware
Dash cam will automatically start recording when exiting the above operations.
Changing video duration
Try the following to change video duration of the standard video:
- Bring up the quick control toolbar, tap the icon
to enter the settings, select Video settings > Video recording duration and select desired option.
- Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Video clip duration and select desired option.
Turning on sound recording
Try any of the followings to record sound:
- Tap icon
in the quick control toolbar to enable sound recording.
- Tap icon
in the quick control toolbar to enter settings, select Sound settings and enable Audio recording.
- Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Record audio and enable this function.
