Connect the dash cam to your phone following steps below:
Step 1: Turn on dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot
- Press the function button below the icon
to enter Settings;
- Select System > Wi-Fi hotspot and turn it on. The Wi-Fi hotspot name and password are displayed on the screen.
Note: Wi-Fi password couldn’t be manually changed. You can always find the password in the Wi-Fi hotspot page.
Or you can enable Wi-Fi always on option, so that the Wi-Fi automatically turns on every time the dash cam is turned on.
Step 2: Add dash cam on the 70mai app
Before binding, make sure you’ve installed the latest version of the 70mai app and your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.
- Open the 70mai app and log in your 70mai account. In the app home page, tap icon
.
- Wait for the Bluetooth scanning result and then select the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name. Or tap the correct dash cam image and then find dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name in the searched result list.
- Complete the authorization following the on-screen prompts.
- Tap Connecting to the dash cam hotspot, and follow the onscreen instructions to connect dash cam Wi-Fi. In your phone’s WLAN list, find the dash cam’s hotspot name and then input the password.
- When connected, go back to the 70mai app. Follow the instructions to complete the beginner’s guide. And then the dash cam homepage will display.
- Exit the dash cam homepage and then you will find the dash cam card on the app homepage.
If you couldn’t connect the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot, check the followings:
- If you’ve reset the dash cam, a new password will be generated. Make sure you enter the correct password when connecting the Wi-Fi.
- Make sure you’ve completed the authorization following the prompt.
- If the above operation still cannot make a successful connection, please forget the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s WLAN list then re-connect.
Unbind the device
Open the 70mai app, tap the icon on the dash cam card and then select Unbind device.
