Important notice
- If the hardwire kit has been installed in your vehicle, remove it from the fuse box while keeping the power connector connected to the dash cam.
- If the hardwire kit has not been installed, follow the steps below to connect it to the battery pack.
- Cut and expose the ground (GND) terminal of the hardwire kit.
- Open the levers of the terminal boxes on the Parking surveillance cable adapter, and connect ACC, ground (GND), and constant power (VCC) wires separately to the corresponding terminal boxes. Close the levers to ensure a firm connection.
- Connect the XT30 connector of the Parking surveillance cable adapter to the battery pack’s Parking surveillance cable output port.
- Switch on the battery pack. Start the vehicle and ignite the engine. When the dash cam turns on, enable the parking surveillance function.
- Allow the vehicle to run for approximately 1 minute, then turn off the engine and observe if the dash cam automatically enters parking surveillance mode.
If the dash cam enters the specific mode, the connection is normal.
If not, ensure that the cable is firmly connected, and then restart the vehicle. Allow it to run for approximately 1 minute again, then turn off the engine and observe if the dash cam enters parking surveillance mode.
Note: Differentiate between the ACC, VCC, and GND terminal boxes according to the labels on the parking surveillance cable adapter.
To get optimal parking surveillance runtime of your dash cam, set the vehicle battery protection voltage to the minimum level in your dash cam or app settings, provided your parking surveillance cable supports setting a vehicle battery protection voltage threshold (e.g. 70mai 4G Hardwire Kit).
