Parking security
Install the parking surveillance cable and then enable collision detection, motion detection or time-lapse recording function. The functions can be enabled respectively or simultaneously to enhance surveillance of the vehicle when it turns off:
- Press corresponding function button to enter settings, enable Collision detection/Motion detection/Time-lapse photography.
- Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Collision detection/Motion detection/Time-lapse photography and enable the function.
- Open the 70mai app, tap the icon
on the dash cam card, enable the collision detection, motion detection or time-lapse photography in Device settings.
If the dash cam supports rear recording (rear camera is required) or internal recording (cabin camera is required), the rear/cabin camera will also record parking surveillance videos and time-lapse videos simultaneously.
Collision detection
When the vehicle engine turns off, dash cam is in standby mode. When the build-in gravity sensor detects collision, dash cam will record a 30-second-long parking surveillance video and store it in the parking surveillance folder.
Changing collision sensitivity
- Press corresponding function button to enter settings, select Parking surveillance > Collision detection > Sensitivity and select desired option.
- Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Collision detection > Sensitivity and then select desired option.
- Open the 70mai app, tap the icon
on the dash cam card, change the collision sensitivity in Device setting.
If you find that the parking surveillance recording is frequently triggered when you close the vehicle’s door, you can select a low sensitivity and select 5 mins delayed response.
Motion detection
When the vehicle engine turns off, dash cam is in standby mode. When the continuously running image algorithm detects any threatening person and decides that this person should be recorded, dash cam will record parking surveillance video.
Changing motion detection sensitivity
- Press corresponding function button to enter settings, select Parking surveillance > Motion detection > Sensitivity and select desired option.
- Open the 70mai app, connect the dash cam and enter the dash cam homepage. Select Settings > Motion detection > Sensitivity and then select desired option.
- Open the 70mai app, tap the icon
on the dash cam card, change the motion detection sensitivity in Device setting.
Time-lapse photography
When the vehicle engine turns off, dash cam records video at the sampling frequency of 1 fps. Those recorded images will be compound to a 30 fps video, which is the time-lapse video.
In the time-lapse recording mode, dash cam continuously records the scene in view. If any abnormal event occurs, dash cam can record the antecedents and consequences of the event as evidence.
When collision detection/motion detection and time-lapse functions are enabled, dash cam will enter the time-lapse recording mode when it detects the ACC OFF signal on the parking surveillance cable. When collision or suspicious person triggers parking surveillance video recording, the dash cam will record accordingly. When the parking surveillance video is finished, dash cam will return to time lapse recording.
