Step 1 Testing the video signal

1. Turn off the car engine and power supply.
2. Connect the camera to the signal cable (connect Port A and Port B).
3. Connect the red and black wires of the reverse signal cable to the positive and negative ends of the reverse light power cable.
4. Plug the video signal cable into the video signal input port of the video receiver (for example, the AV/IN port of 70mai smart car devices).
5. Turn on the car engine and shift to reverse gear. Check if the video receiver can receive image signal from the camera. If yes, proceed to Step 2 Wire routing; otherwise, check if the connection is correct. If there is no image even though the connection is correct, please contact the after-sales customer service.

Step 2 Wire routing

1. Turn off the car engine and power supply.
2. Route the video signal plug along the car body to the driver or front passenger seat and connect it to the video signal input port of the video receiver.
3. Route the video signal cable connector (Port B) along the car body to the truck of the car. Connect the red and black wires of the reverse signal cable to the positive and negative ends of the reverse light power cable.
4. Connect the camera to the signal cable (connect Port A and Port B).
5. Move the camera to the desired installation location. Adjust the length of the exposed video signal cable.

Step 3 Installing the camera

1. Ensure that the car engine and power supply remain turned off.
2. Disconnect the camera and the video signal cable.
3. Drill holes at the desired camera installation location (two screw holes and one hole in the middle for the camera lead wire).
4. Put the camera lead wire through the hole in the middle and connect the camera to the video signal cable.
5. Secure the camera to the car using the screws.

Note: During installation, the camera can be temporarily fixed to the car using the adhesive tape provided.

Step 4 Adjusting the camera angle

70mai Backup Camera supports 20°vertical adjustment angle. Adjust the camera’s vertical angle based on your preference. Refer to the figure below:

Note: Installation and wire routing may differ from the user manual depending on the car model. Please ask a trained professional to perform the installation.

Before installation and wire routing, please turn off the car engine and power supply to prevent short circuit.
