1. Do I need to turn on recording manually?

When the dash cam turns on, if inserted with a usable microSD card, it automatically starts recording and no manual operation needed.

2. Can I pause during recording?

Dash cam is a road safety record tool and it needs as much as possibly to record driving videos to maximize the protection of the car owners. Therefore, dash cam does not support manually pause video.

3. Why the dash cam stops recording?

Dash cam automatically stops recording in the following situations:

  • When you enter the album;
  • When you modify parameters related to recording, such as system time;
  • When you format the microSD card in the dash cam;
  • When the microSD card is below Class 10 and the writing speed decreases in recording, the recording will pause (In this case, replace with a higher-level microSD card);
  • When the microSD card has increasing fragments and decreasing writing speed after being used in the dash cam or in other devices for a period of time, the recording will pause (In this case, please format the microSD card in the dash cam);
  • When you restore factory settings;
  • When you use app to push the firmware upgrade package to the dash cam;
  • When dash cam is updating.

4. How to check whether the dash cam is in normal recording?

When the dash cam is in normal recording, a blinking red dot and ““icon will be displayed in the top left corner of the screen.

5. Can I record videos with sound?

The device records soundlessly by default. If you would like to record videos with sound, you can do either of the followings:

  • Press the function button below the icon”“. After audio recording is enabled, the icon changes to ““.
  • Go to the 70mai App on your phone then enter the dash cam plug-in page. Click “Device settings” to enter the settings page. Select “Sound recording” then turn it on.

6. The recorded video image is blurry.

If there are smudges on the dash cam’s camera or on the windshield where the dash cam is installed, the recorded video image may be blurry.

In this case, do the followings:

  • Check if there are smudges or finger prints on the dash cam’s camera.
  • Check if the protective film on the dash cam’s camera is removed.
  • Check if there are smudges on the windshield where the dash cam is installed. Clean the windshield with a clean cloth.
