1. What is the parking surveillance function?

When the parking surveillance function is enabled, the dash cam will enter the parking surveillance mode after the car engine is turned off. In the event of a collision when the vehicle is being parked, the dash cam automatically records a video and saves it to the album. The device will remind you to view the video on next time startup.

2. How to enable the parking surveillance function?

The parking surveillance function is disabled by default. You can do the following to enable it:

Press the function button below the  icon to enter Settings, select Video settings > Parking surveillance. Select desired sensitivity to enable the function.

If the cigarette lighter port is still power-on after the car is stopped, and the auto-off when stop time is set, the device will enter the parking surveillance mode when the set time expires. The parking surveillance function will consume the battery power. If the car parks for a long time, the battery may be depleted. In this case, it is recommended to use the parking surveillance function in conjunction with the parking surveillance cable.

3. How to view parking surveillance videos?

Press the function button below the icon  to enter album, select Parking surveillance to view the videos.

4. Why the device doesn’t enter parking surveillance mode after power-off?

In the following cases, the parking surveillance function does not work:

  • If the device is turned off without external power supply and the built-in battery is low, the device cannot enter the parking surveillance mode.
  • If the device enters the parking surveillance mode without external power supply for a long time, it will keep consuming the power of the built-in battery. If the built-in battery power is too low or depleted, the device will be unable to record surveillance videos.
  • If the device enters the parking surveillance mode without external power supply, and the temperature inside the car is lower than -10°C or higher than 60°C, the built-in battery cannot discharge electricity, and the device will be unable to record surveillance videos when the car encounters a collision.
