1. When connecting the dash cam for the first time, what condition is required?
The first time you connect the dash cam to your phone, you will need install the latest 70mai APP on your phone.
2. How to check the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot name and password?
70mai Dash Cam M300 Wi-Fi hotspot information is as follows:
- Hotspot name: 70mai_M300_XXXX (Please check the label on the device for the hotspot name.)
- Default password: 12345678
3. What if i forget the dash cam Wi-Fi password?
In this case, please restore the dash cam to factory settings by pressing the power button 5 time in a row. The Wi-Fi password will change to the default password 12345678.
4. How to change the Wi-Fi password of the dash cam?
After the dash cam is connected with your phone, you can change password in the dash cam’s Settings > Set Wi-Fi password. Please follow the instructions on the screen to change the password.
After modifying the dash cam’s Wi-Fi password, the phone needs to reconnect to the dash cam’s hotspot with the new password.
5. How to check and switch the Wi-Fi status?
When the dash dam is turned on, press the power button once. The voice prompt will indicate whether the Wi-Fi hotspot is turned on or off. If it is turned off, press the power button once again to turn it on.
6. Can’t find the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot list?
If you cannot see the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot list, do the followings:
(1). Make sure the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot is on. If it is not, press the power button once to turn it on.
(2). Turn off the wireless LAN (or WLAN) and then on again on your phone’s system settings.
After doing the above, if you still cannot find the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot, please contact customer service.
7. How to make the Wi-Fi hotspot automatically turn on every time the dash cam boots?
To make the Wi-Fi turn on with the dash cam, you need to set the power-on Wi-Fi settings.
After the dash cam is connected with your phone, go to the dash cam’s Settings > Power-on Wi-Fi > On.
8. Why does the phone display “Security verification fail” during the connection?
Security verification fails because the connection authorization of the phone is refused. Please delete the dash cam on the 70mai app then add it again(Refer to How to delete the dash cam on the 70mai app?)
After successfully delete the device, please add the device again. (Refer to How to add the dash cam on the 70mai app?)
9. When using iPhones to connect the dash cam Wi-Fi hotspot, why “Cannot join the network” prompts when inputting the password?
If you enter the wrong password when connecting the hotspot and try to input the password again in a short time, iPhone may recognize your operation as illegal. So that a pop-up dialog box “Cannot join the network xxxx (xxxx is Wi-Fi hot spot name) ” displays on the screen.
In this case, please exit the password input interface, back to the Wi-Fi hotspot list, select the dash cam hotspot and then re-connect.
If the above operation still cannot make a successful connection, please forget the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot in your phone’s WLAN list then re-connect. Tap the dash cam’s Wi-Fi hotspot name to enter the detailed Wi-Fi page, and then tap Forget this network.
